Healthy Homemade Apple Sauce

My step-mother taught me how to make this apple sauce. It is scrumptious; delicious! Great for Autumn; a yummy after school snack. Add cinnamon to give it a yummy, sweet touch.

Ingredients

About 6 peeled and cubed apples

1/4 cup water

3 tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)

Directions

1. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil over medium heat. Let it boil for 5 minutes. Uncover and stir, then reduce heat to simmer. Wait 5 more minutes, then turn off the element. Mash and let it sit on the hot element until it has reached room temperature. When it’s ready to eat, mash it one more time.
